Family driveway - Ballina

This driveway has been transformed with mature trees, evergreen topiary and soft, contemporary cottage planting. The entrance to this family home was previously lawn and a dark stone driveway.

Stunning silver birch are repeated throughout the design, providing a statement entrance to this property. They’re up-lit with solar powered lights ensuring the impact continues into the night. The design involves pollinator-friendly planting in shades of purple and lime green for a subtle but striking contrast. Cor-ten steel edging was used to define the borders in the lawn and increase the depth of topsoil. A clipped, low hedge of Euonymus japonicus ‘green spire’ was added to the front of the property to add evergreen structure and formality.

Phase two will involve replacing the dark stone driveway with a lighter, golden gravel and edging with a granite sett at the gated entrance.
